Social Security benefits are on pace to lose buying power in 2025

Like I said, the government ran the printing presses overtime.
what we experienced is more inflation from supply demand and push pull inflation then monetary inflation .

you can clearly see this because the money supply has not changed but inflation has fallen a lot from the highs

3 years ago when inflation started I eliminated or substituted cheaper items for services that I regularly use. I also lengthened time between services such as getting my dogs groomed every 3 months instead of two, etc. I’m constantly changing the brands I buy at the grocery store because of cost increases.

That's how it's done Terry. 🤗

That was good! (y)

I wish she would have suggested an excess profits tax and a tax on stock buybacks, and maybe a little trust busting, too.
stock backs occur generally when a company’s investors , namely the shareholders are seeing a poor return on their money .

stock buy backs help bolster the stocks when investors might other wise bail out causing a further decline .

that can cause loss of jobs , loan defaults, etc .

there are ramifications for every thing and it effects all of us as consumers.

no corporation has ever paid a penny in tax or tariffs .

they only tack it on the prices we pay and pass the costs to us.
