Some Very Sad News

Our friend, @Maywalk, passed away on Saturday morning at 10:30 AM,
her son, Barry, posted on her website, the information, is second
hand to me passed by a mutual friend.

R.I.P. Maisie.

Mike.
Oh dear, I am so sorry to read this, Mike. We used to email each other often, but then she got quite sick and was in and out of the hospital. What a life that lady had and bore it with grace. May our dear Maisie rest in peace.

Thank you for letting us know, Mike.

Our paths never crossed here but I read her posts and now I know she will be missed here. She joined SF in 2013 and gave us a few hints of her struggles but had a good sense of humor. In a thread about growing older she posted this:
Blimey talk about doom and gloom.
This thread makes me feel old and I am only 93.
It is my son's 73 birthday next Tuesday and I am a very lucky lady to still be here to celebrate it.
I am spending more time in hospital just of late but as long as I have my headlights and can still use my computer to keep in touch with many cyber friends around the world that keeps me going, so let us having you all looking on the bright side.
Keep well everyone.

Maisie was a very special person, she talked to lots
of people and went to schools to tell the children
all about WWII and her being moved away from
London, to Loughborough.

She was sought after by companies and Government
departments to talk to their staff and though she had
Brittle Bones, that broke easily and put her back in the
hospital, she never, ever complained about pain, she
did complain about the inconvenience of being there.

She wrote many books and had a website where you
could buy them, but I don't know the address any more.

A lovely Lady and a good friend, to many.

Mike.
P.S. I found her website.
