Something ate dried corn

I had this corn doll I was going to sell as a Halloween or autumn decoration. I had put it out on the sunporch. but when I went to get it, something had eaten most of the kernels off the right leg and a few on other appendages. Another thing that might have been saleable turned into a piece of junk!

The porch is not an outdoor porch - it is an enclosed sun room. I suspect mice. The nose is okay, must be the camera angle makes it look short.

We had Indian corn in the attic with other fall decorations that were stored in a cardboard box. When we opened them, we found mice had chewed through the corner of the box, and had emptied the kernels from all three ears. At first it was a puzzle......

That's what I get for being nice to them. I've caught 3 in the last two weeks in my humane tilt trap. I take them for a ride out in the country and release them.

Sounds like mice or it just got dry rot and fell off.

If it just fell off, I'd see the kernels.
