Something gets suck up into vacuum. Do you cut open the bag to see what it was?

If something gets sucked up into a bagged vacuum do ever bother to search the debris before throwing it out? Vacuum dirt even dry is some of the nastiest dirt to deal with. Would it make a difference if you knew or didn't know what it is?

if I haven't knowingly dropped anything on the floor and something goes clattering up the hose, I don't bother looking, it's usually something insignificant, but if the noise is very loud, then yes I'll have a look in the bag!! My house isn't so dirty that the dirt would give me a disease...LOL ;)

I can't stand not knowing although my little Dirt Devil and my large Hoover are bagless so it makes it easier. When I had the bag type I had long tongs to do the job.

Only if I was missing something of value, otherwise a piece of cat or dog kibble would make that sound and I'd ignore it. I use an older bagged vacuum, but I change the bag frequently, so if I had to search through the contents, it wouldn't be that bad at all.
