Something good in the news for a change...

Whatta expect, all 3 of these gals gave me very good service, one even blew me a kiss.
I will admit that coffee had a strange taste to it.

Wonderful story of a generous and kindhearted woman. Just the opposite of the cruel and stingy who argue, "Why should I tip blah blah blah . . . !"

Kerry Packer (OZ publishing mogul/ 'multi' $$$, Murdoch's main rival) used to drop 10 grand tips on random people in Casinos, cafes and country towns. The stories didn't emerge until after he died as he'd have sacked anyone exposing his softer side. He revelled in his tough guy image, he had a strange sense of humour, and a well disguised soft heart. He was a ruthless business man but worshipped by those who knew him. I didn't, but know people who did and not one had a bad word to say. He would carve up a rival or con man but quietly rewarded the genuine battlers. "Goes to show you never can tell" doesn't it?

The Murdoch press made a big deal about the extravagance of building/improving the little airstrip at Scone because the Packers had property around there and did it for their own benefit. They didn't use planes. They used choppers. They needed an airstrip like a fish needs a bike.
The airstrip was for the town and it boosted that town and saved it. They even stage Air Shows and fly tourists in there now.

My favourite story about him was when he was at the bar in a Vegas casino talking to a bragger who kept dropping hints how wealthy he was.
He mentioned the ranches, and oil wells, and stocks etc. Kezza turned to him and asked what he figured he was worth, all up. "Oh, around a billion I reckon." Kezza dragged a coin out of his pocket, and said "I'll flip you for it."

There are good Samaritans out there, but unlike the 'professional' do gooders they aren't always that easy to spot.

PS. 'God' didn't send Kezza like that nice lady in the story. He wasn't into that stuff at all.
