Sometimes I lose myself on social media sites

My plan was to make Pumpkin Scones.
Pumpkin in the pot simmering away, I am lying on the bed on social media sites, forgot about the pot simmering away.
Half an hour later, remembering the pumpkin, I go to the kitchen, water all boiled away and pumpkin has started to burn.
Not the flavour I want for my Pumpkin Scones…
Luckily I have more pumpkin.
I will make them in the morning now.

I've learned to put a kitchen timer on when cooking while on the internet.

The other thing I've learned is that nothing on the computer has any more meaning than what I decide to give it.

It's merely a diversion and the half hour I spend in real life cooking is far more important to me personally.

I never seem to get around to all the housework because of social media /have a dog to exercise and feed also - but heh I don't mind a less than tidy house and a bit of dust occasionally just to be able to talk to some very funny/sensible/intelligent and other artificial humans [I think they are anyway - human that is??]
