4 eggs
1/2 cup whipping cream
3 tablespoons powdered (confectioner's) sugar
4 tablespoons brandy or whisky (I've used either vanilla or almond extract instead)
Separate eggs and beat the yolks 'till thick and lemon-colored. Slowly beat in the brandy and sugar. Beat egg whites 'till stiff. Fold egg whites and cream into yolk and sugar mixture. Must be eaten with a spoon.
This is for hard-core eggnog lovers and must be made shortly before serving, but if you reeeealy love eggnog, it's worth the work. The recipe is from an old cookbook

I inherited from one of my grandmothers and I guess since it's back before anybody worried much about calories or cholesterol, the recipes are sooo good! And it's kind of fun to read through and look at the pix:

I love that in the pic above, "Strike up a warm acquaintance with your oven and its special temperament." Boy, they oughta meet my oven!
Anyway, enjoy!
