Today I was honored to be invited to a gathering organized by Quilts Of Valor. If you haven't heard of this organization you should check it out. It is a foundation whose mission it is to make and present hand made quilts to veterans from all branches of our military service. There were about 20 veterans presented quilts today. There organization has over the years presented over 400,000 quilts to veterans. It was a truly humbling experience. Those among us who are Vietnam Veterans were also presented with Vietnam War Veteran's lapel pen. It is refreshing to see there are such organizations and especially the member individuals who give of their time and talent to recognize our nation's veterans.
