Spy stuff. Clicking static am car radio on occassion, Being tracked?

WhatInThe

SF VIP
I'm getting a clicking static on am radio on occassion. Don't get it on FM. Usually the sametime of day tends to be early evening. I'm in a neighbor war and they have tech skills even though junkies. I frequently have to drive 5-10 minutes before it disappears. Even after 1/2 mile past for the heavy industry type businesses it happens Downloaded tracker tag detector apps but don't trust them.

It is a mixed used neighborhood ie lots of businesses big and small nearby. I thought the am radio might be going but I can be weeks without issue and/or drive it poor wether in which humidity might affect wiring or a short. The click seems on purpose and distinct and rythmatic.

AM (amplitude modulation) is very subject to interference. Power lines, your car engine, electrical storms, and electrical equipment you are driving by can make a variety of noises in your AM receiver.

FM (frequency modulation) is much less bothered by the things mentioned above.

AM signals are modulated by varying the amplitude of the signal transmitted. FM signals are modulated by slightly varying the frequency of the signal. Of course there is a more technical explanation but let's just say it's the nature of the transmission systems.

This reminds me of the very few times I intercepted someone else's phone conversation from my landline phone.
That happened to me too! It was a long time ago. I was talking to my friend and suddenly I was hearing someone else on the line. It was only one sided (I couldn't hear the other side of the conversation) and my friend couldn't hear it, but it was someone talking about work or something like that. I tried to see if this other person could hear me by saying "hello, who is this?" but obviously they couldn't hear me as he just kept talking. I finally had to hang up with my friend and call back. I can't fathom how something like that could happen.

In some sense, yes, except the lines should have been private and somehow were crossed. So not the old times party lines.
One time my DIL said she was talking to her cousin and what they were saying came across on her T.V. ! Once I heard my neighbor's son upstairs who's voice was coming out of my Digital piano, which uses electricity, while I was playing it.

I remember the party lines. Once this devilish neighbor boy interrupted our landlord's daughter's conversation pretending to be someone who was out to get her. She was so scared, then found out it was a prank.
