Stand Up Comedy

Does anyone here like stand up comedy? I like a lot of it as long as it doesn't get too off color. I just watched an HBO special that Ray Romano did. I think he said it was his first stand up in 30 years. Surely that's not correct. I enjoyed the show and at the end he walked outside on the sidewalk (NYC) and his wife and 4 children joined him and they chatted and walked to a little pizza shop and ate. I enjoyed that part of the special the most. Especially since he had quite a bit to say about all of them in his comedy. I've been watching him in Get Shorty, which isn't comedy but I enjoy that too.
 

I love it too. Many years ago I saw Billy Crystal when he was still an unknown. He was actually an opening act for someone. Have seen George Carlin too as well as Larry Miller and Kevin Meaney.
I used to love the old format of Comedy Central back in early 90's. They would have a lot of stand up. My favorite was Short Attention Span Theater where they would show clips from different comedians.
 
I love stand up. I just watched a Joan Rivers Special on Youtube. She was great, but you have to like that insult comedy. She was bantering with the crowd. I have to admit she was quick witted, and a fast come back. Lisa Lampanelli was great til she got religion or something. I'm not sure who is on the rising start list now.??????
 
I love stand up comedy! I have a comedy channel and haven't watched it in quite awhile. I do need more laughter in my life so going to make a point to watch more. I watch lots of funny sitcoms that keep me smiling like Two and a Half Men and Mom.
 
Ken, I saw the Ellen special recently and I really enjoyed it. We all need laughter in our lives. I watch some of the sitcoms too unless they just get a little bit too silly.

I like everyone mentioned here except Lisa Kampanelli. Never cared for her. I'm not sure who Kevin Meany is. Maybe if I google him I recognize his face.
 
Richard Jeni, (rip) Steve Martin, the SNL gangs, I;m enjoying Michael McIntyre now even tho' he employs the old stand up routines, he's hilarious and I love when he makes fun of his kids.
 
StarSong, Brian Regan is my favorite number ONE stand up comedian! One evening when I told my SIL how much I liked Brian Regan he did a search on Netflix or whatever it was and lined up several hours of Brian Regan for me on their TV while he and my daughter went out for awhile. I thought that was so sweet of him and, of course, I really enjoyed my evening. I had seen a lot of his work already but it didn't matter. The second time is good too.
 
I like most of the above mentioned.
But a couple that were very popular that I just couldn't take ... Don Rickles and Sam Kinison...
