Starting Over and Over and Over

When at first you don't succeed try try again...is the saying. I find that starting over with my goals and plans is something that seems to help.

Progress is progress whether it's fast or slow. I'd prefer fast progress but it isn't always that way is it? That's where patience comes in and I seem to have more of that these days, at least.

Good for you Ruthanne I admire that... it wouldn't work for me, I have very little patience. if I don't get it right first time..then it's history!!

Haha. I like it, especially considering I have all kinds of projects half finished. 🥺😅

Well, thanks hd. Some things become history with me, too, but some don't and those are the things I'm trying to focus on now.

Great point!!! Experts at seminars I've attended and studies I've read say if a person keeps trying to change a behavior, the odds of success down the road increase.

This Harvard Health article about change is a good one.

Relapse is common, perhaps even inevitable. Experts urge people not to be derailed by it but to think of it as an integral part of the change process. You learn something about yourself each time you relapse. For example, you may find that the strategy you adopted didn't fit into your life or suit your priorities. Next time, you can use what you learned, adjust, and be a little ahead of the game as you continue on the pathway to a healthy lifestyle change.
