Because Christmas fell on a Saturday and Boxing Day on a Sunday, many businesses that normally would just be open Monday to Friday are closed today and tomorrow. With New Year’s Day on Saturday, many will close this Friday instead of next Monday. It’s a very quiet time of year. Anyone who can takes two days of vacation in between.
