Still Not Allowed to Use Fitting Rooms in Clothing Stores

I was in a store that had the fitting rooms on the first floor and the clothing on the second floor.
They had an escalator and an elevator.
I get around in a wheelchair. So the escalator is out.
When I went to buy pants, the elevator was out of order.

So I was told to flag down a floor person who would take me to the floor where I could try on clothes via the freight elevator in the back.

Thank God I found pants that fit. I wouldn't want to go through that flag down and dingy elevator ride again.

You summed up the situation well, @StarSong Once I went in a Macy’s and couldn’t find a spot to stand in the change room. We all pay extra for the cost of staff to clean up the mess, theft, trashed clothes etc.

It has never been an issue for Costco not to have changing rooms.

@OldFeller Hopefully there aren’t too many stores that have an awkward set up for those who are challenged.
