Stoooopid shipment of the day....

We're cutting the cable. It's been a long, slow, painful process that seems like it will never end.

Today's episode: Yesterday, the Spousal Equivalent went to the Spectrum office to take back the cable box. He got a receipt for the returned box and thought that was it.

Today, he gets a phone message that says "your package will be delivered today". What package? He calls Spectrum and asks them, giving them the "order number" listed on the message. The Spectrum lady checks and says there is nothing being delivered to him.

Five minutes later, a truck drives up and leaves a large box by our front door. The box is very light, obviously doesn't have anything in it. He opens it and it is, indeed, an empty box. There is a shipping order inside it that says "EMPTY BOX KIT", along with a shipping label addressed to Spectrum.

I give up. He's currently on hold with Spectrum.

Yes, that is the way they want it to be handled. We had to do the same.
Call .... wait for box ..... and then return cable box in their empty box.

They are like robots ..lol .... mess with their system, and they won't know what to do:confused:

Spectrum? Pffft. Just recently, I couldn't go anywhere on the net. Would slowly load email.... maybe... Got hold of them after jumping through 87 hoops. They told me we were being throttled because sometime in November, (NOVEMBER) Paramount pictures said a movie was illegally downloaded from my IP. Only took 2 more supervisors to, first, find out what movie they were talking about, and second, why such a delay? Finally, they told me that someone had downloaded "star wars the undiscovered country". ??? I'm guessing maybe one of the grand kids did that during their last visit, although it could have been anyone near me since my wifi was not password protected. Hell, I don't have a clue what star war movies are. sci-fi is not my thing. At least they helped this old dinosaur figure out how to password and lock out unwanted users.
Great, a movie made in 1991 (had to look that up) was cause for concern to Paramount and Spectrum. What BS.
