I have that same problem. In one area, three roofs (which form a U-shape) all shed snow onto that small area, right up against the house siding which used to be wood. The siding was rotten and when it was removed to be replaced, the OSB sheathing, sill plate and lower parts of the studs behind it were rotten through. That was all replaced with pressure treated lumber, coated with an asphalt/rubber coat stuff, covered with ice and water shield and the new siding is metal, which extends 2" below the top of the concrete slab foundation. In addition, we placed those rubber corrugated things used to keep wasps out and siliconed the edges. The other thing that was kind of cool is it was coming off a ribbed metal roof and the rib patteren was embossed on the inside of the curl, though I couldn't get that detail to show up in a picture.
Once it all slid off I ended up with a giant pile of snow laying right up agaist my barn, which I don't like. I tried clearing it away but the bulk of it is solidly frozen since the temps dropped again.
