Streaming is going higher

Had Hulu and Prime. I had already dumped NetFlix. Decided Prime will be history next May, Now Hulu is flagged for a raise soon. Currently pay for the ad-free version ($12.99) will be going up $2. Will stay with that but the $139 I've been paying for Prime is history, (found I could avoid the costly shipping with little effort). Been buying from Walmart.com in >$35 orders. Prime's shipping has become a mine field, the 24 hour promise is a joke especially anything produced overseas. Bought a few tackily produced items recently that couldn't be returned.

I don’t plan to renew my Disney subscription. I hardly ever watch it. I’m waiting to see what happens to HBO Max which I receive as a free perk with my mobile phone plan. HBO Max is being merged with Discovery Plus and it is not clear yet if it will survive as a separate service or just be absorbed into their current programming.

I have Prime Video and Showtime. And also PBS, which I seem to be using more than any other service these days. They have quite a few good documentaries and PBS is a decent organization. I watch The NewsHour pretty much every day.

Showtime is included in my Comcast package. It was either that or HBO. I canceled Netflix last month or maybe two months ago. Good riddance to that steaming pile of crap.

News about subscription TV going up is no news to me as I don't have all of those things. I just have ROKU but don't subscribe to anything.

I smile when people write about Amazon Prime. Amazon is so "pushy" about their Prime. I order a lot of DVDs from Amazon but they are not going to screw me with their Prime. I don't want it and I don't need it. Anyway, I am not much for watching TV as I have a "life."

The facts are simple. If you don't like a price increase for something that you are watching; just cancel. We still do live in a democracy. The choice is still yours. Don't let anyone shove anything down your throat! Fight back! It's your constitutional right!

Insinuating those who subscribe to things they like to watch have no life?

I'm sure they do, and enjoy it along with watching a few shows or movies to relax. :)
