So this is in Alabama @Naturally ?

@CinnamonSugar ... Yes. Lake Tholocco is located completely on a vast Army Aviation Post in the Wiregrass area of Lower Alabama. It is open for recreation only to active duty military, retired military and their guests. Completely and utterly safe at all times. The day I was there was the week before the beach officially opened on May 20th this month and no swimming unless a lifeguard is on duty. They have up to 3 lifeguards in elevated chairs at a time. The chairs were in storage just off the beach that day. The official opening on the 20th included free hamburgers, hotdogs and stuff. Nice

would ex- servicepersonnel with PTSD syndrome be welcome there too? - serious question no slants!

Good question Davey. Only active duty and retired service members and their guests. So if an ex-service member was not a retiree and a sufferer of PTSD and a guest of active duty or retired, I don't think anyone would know or care if they were there. At the gate they only check for military ID, not medical records.
