summer stuff- random thoughts

Good morning to all- I just came in from following the garden tiller around the homeplace garden. Here on the coast, summer is the true dead zone for gardeners- nothing grows. Maters are long gone, beans won't grow, sweet taters are about the only garden crop that stays with us.
But, I can work up the garden and get ready for the real growing season here- and that's fall and early winter. Lots of good stuff to eat do very well here in the fall.
My son and I went fishing in the Gulf yesterday with a good buddy- we had to run away from thunderstorms all day. we caught a few fish- mys son hooked and played something very big- i expect it was a huge old king mackerel.
I do love summer- Now, if only the Cardinals were doing better
Now, I guess I'd best get back to work and do some wriing and research on chapters.
good day to all- it's a fine summer this year.
