Superman or Batman

Who do you like better? And why?

Batman does it for me.....cool ride!
I like them both BUT - my personal favorite didn't even make your list /-;
Spiderman Forever! (I obviously don't suffer from arachnophobia!)

Okay, to play along. Batman had the car, the cave, the mansion, and the cool light beam in the sky... I'm going with Batman!

Remember Batman Vs Superman, the movie? I was incensed that such a contest could even be contemplated, but then the movie didn't really have anything to do with Batman slugging it out with Superman, and I was disappointed. But I digress. I would rather have Superman on my side, but Batman was much more dark and visceral character, so I was drawn to him by my dark side.

Superman; Yay, Ra Ra!
Batman; Oooh, Spooky!

If we restrict this just to the DC universe, I’d have to say Superman. I grew up watching the old black-and-white George Reeves “Superman” show, even if everything from the costume to the special effects were terribly dated by today’s standards. Lois Lane was always getting into trouble, and Perry White was always saying, “Great Caesar’s Ghost!” Truth, justice, and the American way…yeah, that’s the ticket!

Yup

We used to run around leaping tall things like thistles and pets
making that whooshing noise

Then, decades later, switched to Clint

Hi Lee, hope you (and your husband) are doing well.

Fun topic.

Always been a superman person. Not sure why. Maybe the flying thing. I think I like the idea of people being able to fly?

About 10 years ago, our local art museum had an exhibition about the development of Superman, as a comic. Was nice and interesting. Laurie likes all the comic stuff. I think I just wish I could fly...

Superman, but in fairness, we only had three channels that went off the air at midnight.

In what year were kids finally allowed to sit on the living room furniture?

I watched The Adventures of Superman and Batman. I loved Superman, but even as a kid, the Batman series was just too goofy, completely different from the way Batman was depicted in comic books.

Being a man of steel and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound has its advantages, but as Em said, Batman has the car, the cave, the mansion, and let's not forget hot and cold running Alfred. Batman it is. He's not my favorite. My favorite shall remain shrouded in mystery, lol. 😎

When I was a kid, I loved comic books. My girlfriends would read Archie and, gag, True Romance. 🤢 On my radar: Daredevil, Justice League, Superman, Batman, The Avengers, Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Silver Surfer, Captain America, and The Incredible Hulk. I could go on, lol. When I went away to college, my mother cleared out my stash of comic books. 😲

Bella✌️

I'd have to go with Superman. I think Superman is a tad more believable than Batman. I think Batman's shtick of a Bat-phone, a Bat-car, a Bat-belt, A Bat-boat, etc., makes him too cartoony. Yeah, there's a space orphan with Xray vision and can fly is totally believable.
