Supermarkets are sneaky and dishonest

When I lived in AZ we experienced the worse produce I have had as well as the highest prices for driving the products through the desert to the market.
I live in an isolated northern community. Someone warned me about buying produce in the winter; it freezes on the truck and gets ruined. (No problem for me, as I don't eat produce.)

I was in a supermarket this morning, first big shopping
for some time, the prices are scary, the coffee that I like,
Kenco Columbian instant, was £3 for 100 grams, last time,
today it is £4.50, for too much.

So much profit is not needed, "they", say that it is because
of the price of crude oil, another lie I suspect, we don't
buy oil from either Ukraine or Russia, anyway reports are
saying that the price of crude oil is down.

Two things with meat dept. So very carefully placing a new sticker over the original advancing the sell by date another week or so.. The original sell by date surpassed. The second was chicken parts that tasted of bleach, so I can only assume that they were off and washed in too strong of a bleach solution to conceal the fact they'd gone off. These all occurred pre covid . No wonder we've stopped buying from this vendor.

And they dare to ask..." Did you find everything okay?". I always reply yes, but please stop moving stuff around!
