This was up against the wall behind the dining room table for decades with knickknacks, lamps and other asst. items on it. I decided to drag it out and dust it off. It cleaned up pretty good. Looks like maple to me, but I'm not an expert at identifying lumber types. The big surprise was that as I was cleaning it, the top kept turning. I thought it was broken, so I tried to lift the top off, but it just swiveled around - then I noticed it had hinges. I opened it up and it unfolded into a 30" square table top. I went looking for similar tables online and found they are called a flip-top table which opens slightly differently from a tilt-top. They are both designed as space savers that can be folded when not in use. If you saw this at a garage sale, how much would you pay for it?
