You know those surveys on some receipts that say at the end you can enter a $3,000 or $1,000 monthly sweepstakes? I usually call and take the survey (it's kind of long), then I give my name, phone #, address (so they can contact me if I win). But I never hear about anyone winning. They say they have a winner’s list at front register if you want to look at it, or you can see the list online.
But I’m beginning to wonder if they share the personal information with other companies so they can bug people and try to sell stuff. There’s no privacy statement on the receipt or when you call in.
