Swearing Allegiance to King Charles at Coronation

My forebears came to the colonies in 1634. Royalty is kind of remote to me.
ya still welcome into our big royal family remember what charles supervisor Christ once said [ " my fathers house has many mansions ; I go there to prepare a room for you" ]

The British Monarch represents the UK as Head of State, but does not make policy. He reads dispatches and documents in the Red Boxes from all parts of the realm and signs them. This is a courtesy to the Monarch. He/she may make suggestions, but nothing more.
He can lobby to promote his agenda also. This is the fear with him unlike Queen Elizabeth II.

I wouldn’t say he or even his mother was "the head of a religion." It could be argued he will become the head of the Church of England, the Anglican Church, and able to appoint archbishops of that church.

But even that isn’t entirely correct. In reality the archbishop of the Church of England is chosen by a formal process that I think starts with the Crown Nominations Commission. Who then approach the Prime Minister with their recommendation, who in turn approaches the monarch, who then appoints the archbishop? As far as I’m aware, the monarch can’t refuse.

For the most part, I would say the monarch in official duties, works for the government.

When the Queen in 2018 was asked during an interview with Alastair Bruce, who she believed to be the head of the Church of England, she replied, "The Archbishop of Canterbury." This answer might reflect the Queen's “symbolic” position, and not necessarily the actual head.

From memory, I think the archbishop of the time was then asked the same question. I think his answer was, “God”.
If we refer to the new testament and final comments of Christ with Peter ; he Christ is reported to have said - Peter you are the little rock but I will build my church on the big rock - it's been a bone of contention ever since - but many accept that Christ is the only head of the church not the king or queen or the archbishop - the present day structure of the Anglican church follows that structured by the Romans and which developed as the Roman Catholic church and then good King Henry broke us off from that name but kept a similar structure and called it the Church of England or Anglican church. I used to attend a church called Church of Christ found throughout the world and in both usa and oz - I once told a catholic friend of mine of this and he remarked " that's a funny name" to this day I am not sure whether he was serious or as we say in oz just "takin the piss"!!

Along with bowing stating/showing loyalty to a symbolic figurehead at this point not necessary. So much for low profile
