Tacos anyone? Mexico for dental

Mainly arizona
Soon I will venture over the border for dental work. Much cheaper and my experience with the quality has been good. I need several teeth bonded and an irritating crown needs pulled and replaced (been to the arizona dentist several times to fix and he can’t). Figure it is about 1/3 of the cost.
 

Be sure to take you passport with you go over the border. I have a friend that goes across the border for dental work, and he has quite the story to tell about the time he forgot his passport and had to sneak back across the border to come home. I said to him," Why didn't you call me or the other friends we associate with we would have got his passport and taken it across the border for him and we might have had a party there also." He just looked at us with a dumb look on his face wondering why he did not think of that.

I'm surprised the Mexican border guards wouldn't require a passport to get into Mexico. You need one to get into Canada from the USA.
 

No passport needed. Are you going to Juarez, to Washington Dental? You park on
this side and they send a bus to take you to the facility.
Juarez is dangerous now though. Be careful and don't wander around sightseeing. OK?

There's a "social worker" who is down there for bariatric surgery as the costs here was way out of range here. In fact, I'm betting on 1/5th the cost and it includes all meals, care and drugs

But then if there's a f up, there's no insurance....

He drove to Mexico and walked across the border for the dental appointment. At the guard station he thinks that he showed his military VA Card instead of a passport and he got through. On the return trip he stayed in a hotel room for a day trying to figure out what to do so he did the same thing. He waited at the border crossing for there to be a big crowd of people walking across the border and mixed in with them. The he said he mixed in with the crowd of people hurrying to get through and got through by flashing his VA card. Then he got in his car and drove back home to Colorado as fast as he could because he was afraid, they were going to throw him in jail.
 
I know 4 people that went to Mexico for weight surgery( 2 of my daughters and 2 of my sisters), Its scary @ times. No one had problems. They all had passports. There were reports of cartel stopping a van and beheaded the people. Everyone made it home safely and they have lost their weight. Surgery cost 5200.00 per person for gastric sleeve. This was in 2021. They still are small. They look great.
