Taking Self-Test COVID-19 TEST

Now 6:51pm PST ended processing an iHealth COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test, 5 minutes ago. Need to wait another 10 minutes to see results.

Ordered for free via my Kaiser Permanente healthcare web site 2 packages with 2 tests in each. Don't think I have the disease currently after considering online symptom lists, but not fully certain given the asymptomatic issues. During the last 3 weeks have has an intermittent slight sinus issue I wouldn't describe as even a light head cold but rather like an alergy. Am not one that gets sinus allergies but during mid winter cold periods sometime in the past have had these sinus what evers. So any here want to place bets in the next few minutes?
 

Last time I was sick was the beginning of November. I called my pharmacy and they gave me eight of those rapid tests. I did three altogether over two days. All were negative.

I had a really bad sore throat (felt like strep throat), a fever and some other weird symptoms, like it affected the nerve to one of my teeth. Boy did that hurt. The tooth wound up falling apart. Took me over a month to get over the cough and finally feel better.

Had a doctor's appointment in the meantime, she shrugged her shoulders and ordered a flu shot. Saw online, from people with similar symptoms, that in order to get a positive at home test I'd have had to swab the back of my throat. Nope not for me. Did I have Covid type Omicron? Who the h*** knows.

If this lasts a while, check to see if you have a sinus infection. Sometime these can be caused by a bad tooth. The sinus infection usually needs antibiotics.
 
DH was feeling a little congested so we both took a test just to make sure we know how to use the kits if we did start to feel really ill. Kits are free at the pharmacy here.

A friend and her husband were extremely ill. She was still testing positive after a week; he never did. His may be the flu though it seems strange that he wouldn’t have picked up Covid from her.

Testing shows what the equipment classifies you as at a particular moment only.....

True. After I recovered, I tested before visiting elderly friends to ease our worries. It's the best we can do.

My hubby and I both had covid and both sons never tested positive nor were they sick.
