A new broom - speculation and departures - the center table - right-wing racism
As I said, we've got new people in the front office and changes are being made, some good some we'll wait and see. Our new administrator is taking a hands-on approach to doing things that need to be done, she's cleaned up our courtyard and is working on the coy pond it's full of algae and is green and nasty.
She is fixing everything the prior administration let go, cutting off the deadwood as she goes, she had our lazy maintenance man down on his hands and knees with her showing him what she wanted done at 7:00 AM he's been painting and has left the dining room half finished for a couple of months. He was painting two days ago but no one has seen him since.
The head cook was fired, and rumors were circulating that he was chasing after the girls and had been frisky in his office with the ones that were willing to get frisky with him. So, we're trying to guess why he was terminated ( polite term ) she sh** canned him and he didn't run a very good kitchen anyway. The second-in-line cook is butt hurt because she didn't get promoted to fill the position but there must be a reason for that she is a good cook but probably doesn't have the admin skills needed.
This leads us back to Dan the Man, supposedly of building maintenance, we haven't seen him since his feeble attempt at getting the rest of the dining room painted, he started at 10:30 in the morning by the time he got his work area prepped they were getting ready for lunch so it was two pokes three strokes and he was done. Premature Painter. So the buzz is he's out the door as well, which after being here for a few months and seeing work ethic or non-work ethic it wouldn't be a great loss to see his backside.
Now, there has been another death from the center table in the dining room, I say center table but it's four tables pushed together where the residents who need fed and attention eat. So our main goal is to not be sat at the center table not yet anyway. Kathy was very ill for a time but after a serious bout of diarrhea she may have shed the bug that bothered her, she appears to have rallied this time anyway. We keep a pretty close watch on her.
Now, we come to a dark spot this is rural Missouri and it's very conservative, racist, and backward, not everywhere there are progressive pockets just not here. We have a new resident a black man who's had some kind of health issue I'd speculate a stroke with paralysis on one side. They put him in my old room with Joe, Joe's not bad but this rural Missouri, and Joe's brother Bill, when he's not here, has fox news on they're old country dudes they have racism built into them, they have a friend who comes in to visit who I'd swear if you looked up racist redneck in the dictionary his picture would be there. They moved Joe out of his room this morning.
So that's what has been going on here, being in a private room I get to work on my massage technique regularly it's kind of hard to do in a single bed, but, we manage. The internet has been really crappy lately, I get shut down and lose connection over and over I don't like this company there is a better fiber provider that I hope they switch to when they can I'm crossing my fingers that this posts.
