Talk only plans, no texting for cell phones, Canada?

Anyone have any suggestions? I do not text and just use my cell phone occasionally to phone hubby and to keep the cell phone for an emergency. Telus is charging me $19 a month and then on top of that, I have to top up the phone with $10 or more dollars every month. So it comes to about $30 per month for a phone I use maybe 3 times a month to phone locally. We use our landline at home. Really appreciate any suggestions.

Go to a gas station. They sell cheap phones that may need your needs. I can’t comment on their quality. Just make certain that you aren’t locked into any plans with Telus.

I can't speak for Canadian users, but I've been satisfied with my Tracfone plan with a 365 day renewal for around $125 US (it comes out to a little over $10/month). My current phone is a "smart" phone. I do text occasionally but I believe they also offer a regular flip phone.

I've used them for about 20 years and have gotten good support. I too rarely use my cell phone, so as the minutes/data roll over I currently have enough to last forever. :ROFLMAO:
