From left to right: Game system, video camera, computer, portable phone, Polaroid camera, Walkman.
in front of computer: watch, pager.

All this, and more, contained in that cell phone…which by the way, isn’t even the latest and greatest! That looks like an iPhone 4 or possibly a 6. We’re using I phone 14’s now!

if you fear you battery might go dead then I suggest you carry a power bank. they are not bulky, they are not expensive and most will recharge your cell phone more than once. I bought mine at a local pawn shop for 5 bucks and has served me well for the last three years.

Watched "Sky News" last night. I learned that the # 1 cause of death in the UK is either dementia or Alzhmeizer's. The "exciting" Covid-19 is not even in the top 5! I wonder why this is so? Social isolation? Too many electronic toys? Makes a thinking man think! MMMMMM?

That reminds me, I really must get around to upgrading some of my technology.

Excellent point!! I have several. One I keep in my backpack that is my mobile office with all manner of cords, chargers etc on board. I just throw my laptop in and I’m good to go.

I have one that sits in the compartment of my car even though the car itself has charging outlets and Qi charge. But it’s just in case 😉

There’s one that floats around doing whatever needed. It’s charged my husband’s heated vest, my godchild’s game system when she decided to hang out in the backyard and it died, and various other situations where portable power made the most sense.

See I have a different take. Diving into technology has been awesome for my brain and cognitive skills! I’m constantly learning, expanding my knowledge, working my brain and I think this is crucial to keeping dementia and Alzheimer’s at bay!! Both parents were stricken by the time they were in my 60s. I’m 70 (well almost) and have very little decline.

I play word puzzles on my phone for hours each day. My memory seems to be better now than when I was in my 40's and 50's and working.

I like technology. What I hate is planned obsolescence. A technician once told me when I went to see about getting a tablet repaired that we’re living in the age of disposable electronics, with repair costs prohibitive, and it more cost-effective to simply buy a new device. Today’s “state of the art” device may well be a fossil in three years…

Satellite phones are more powerful than cellphones, but they don’t contain all the gadgets that my Apple Watch has. I had a satellite phone while overseas, but it was on loan and did a good job, but I like my Apple Watch the best or my iPhone.
