Anyone interested in how television is broadcast should read this article. It's very interesting.

By 2015, 1 WTC was completed and, as Director of Broadcast Communications at TDO, engineer John Lyons was ready to explore the uncharted territory atop New York's now tallest skyscraper. The building has a height of 1776’, about 400’ higher than the original World Trade Center. The radio horizon at 1776’ is 60 miles. Lyons and his group first needed to design a VHF and UHF antenna test for such real world conditions.
