Just wanted to give a shout-out to the government of Tennessee for creating the first Animal Abuser Registry in North America! You guys rock and if any here are from that state, my hats off to you folks for being proactive! Hopefully we'll see a whack of Tennessee Walker horse abusers names listed in the coming months. Maybe then the stupidity of 'soring' will end!

Anyway, Congrats :D!

'Tennessee has launched an online registry of those convicted of animal abuse anywhere in that state. The registry represents the nation's first database to list information about convicted animal abusers on a statewide basis. In May 2015 Tennessee lawmakers passed HB 0147 and its twin bill SB 120 establishing the Tennessee Animal Abuser Registration Act, which authorized the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) to establish and maintain a website containing the photos, names, and addresses of those convicted of animal cruelty crimes in that state. The measure became effective on Jan. 1.....'

More good news, animal abuse is now a felony in all 50 states.

FBI data collection to begin effective January 1 2016.... Animal abusers will now be grouped into the same category as murderers! They believe animal cruelty is and should be identified as a violent crime, one that leads to bigger things if it goes unchecked.

No longer will violent cases of animal cruelty be included in the “other offenses” category simply because the victims of the crime are animals... The new FBI categorization is significant because it affirms that at the highest level of our government animal cruelty is recognized as a violent crime."

Too back we can't bring Vick to trial again. I still say put him in Gaga's meat dress and make him run a football field with the canine survivors...we don't forgive, we do not forget.

Great job Tennessee!! I think there will be many more states to follow suit, the sooner the better. And Seabreeze, glad to hear that animal abuse is now a felony. “You can judge a man's true character by the way he treats his fellow animals.”~ Paul McCartney.

Growing numbers of animal advocacy and rescue groups all around the country have been working so hard over the years to help bring about this kind of legislation....to be the voice of the voiceless. :love_heart:
