On Jan. 22 he passed at 77 years of age. I did not hear of it until tonight. He was a total nut case and a scream to watch. Thank you terry for the roll on the floor laughs.

yes it wasn't entirely unexpected he'd had alzheimer's for quite some time... it was reported in most of the media the day he died. One of the great comic writers of all time.
