That Eccentric Brother of Mine

We helped him move one year. His couch jangled when we picked it up, so I turned it upside down. We found $3,000 in coins in the sofa...from 10 years of Bro lying on the couch and change falling out of his pockets!

Just the other day?

Me: "Hey Bro, Bitcoin is like $110,000 per coin right now!"

Brother: "Oh yeah, I've got lots of that."

He's just so cavalier in his ways it makes me giggle.

My older brother is a bachelor and has no kids.

I told him to put all of his codes and paperwork for his investments into a safety deposit box at the bank in case he keels over. It would be a mess trying to untangle all of his portfolios without all of the proper information.

I hope he listened to me. We're a really tight family and all get along. None of us care who he leaves his monetary affairs to...just so that everything turns out smooth and straight forward should he pass away.

Funny you should want to have that happen. Not funny ha ha funny as in we are in the process of making sure our two sons have all that info. Instructions in our revocable trust on file with Fidelity & our two banks. Complete documentation of every dollar & asset we have. All written out & updated as things like if CD's were converted into cash or invested in something.

Planning for retirement & death take looking at the hard reality that both are inevitable
