The Ameristarrail coast to coast passenger railroad

Not gonna happen. The entire NEC from NYP to WUS is AMTRAK and commuter only. UP and NS already have a shared assets agreement for the UP South Transcon. The BNSF North Transcon is already at capacity thanks to the dreaded PSR. Maybe there is another route.
