The best thing about aging is?

The growth of years long friendships. I've studied with three college groups, moved a lot and worked numerous jobs, and enjoyed most of the people along the way. But a few really 'took' and the deepening of those friendships is something that can only happen with time.

Odd woman out on the monthlies. Maybe it's just because they stopped so long ago (autoimmune issues late 20s) and I was so young but I've always felt like I lost part of my femininity going through premature ovarian failure.
Did you have children by then? Did you want them? Did you have the monthly mood swings anyway? Twenty years after my cycles ended, I still have some of the symptoms, minus the mess.

I didn't have children and was okay with it. Thank goodness, NO! re mood swings. Once my hormone levels all dropped post-menopausal, that normalized. So sorry that you still get them!

The best thing about aging for me is not worrying about the future. I enjoy each day for what it is, and when the end comes, so be it.
I feel my life has been wonderful, and I'm thankful for everything I have been given.
Everyday as I watch the news I have to practice mindfulness to dispel the worry. The older I've gotten the more I realize the meanings of what's going on.
