The Burger King of the future will revolve around drive-thrus and pick-up windows

Chowing down on a flame-grilled Whopper at Burger King may be a different experience after COVID-19.

This week, Burger King parent company Restaurant Brands International (QSR) gave investors a peek into the future of the burger seller. Think of a completely touchless ordering experience for germ-fearing diners, headlined by a walk-up window for orders and three drive-thrus (one for delivery drivers picking up mobile orders for customers).

I plan to make my hamburgers at home. They are better. Actually my husband cooks them. These days to say in business a restaurant has to be creative.

I stopped by a McDonalds, in Kansas City, this past Friday morning, to get my favorite sausage and egg McMuffin for breakfast, and there were literally dozens of cars lined up at the drive thru and the indoor seating was closed...I would have probably sat in line for 20 or 30 minutes. I went back to the casino, and had a plate of biscuits and gravy. At least, in our rural area, most of the food outlets have limited seating indoors, so it's not too bad. If we Have to eat in the car, we look for a Sonic Drive In.
