The Color of your Car

When there was that huge tsunami in japan years ago;on TV, there were cars floating all over the place. And to me they all seemed like Capt Lightning's "Silver Ivory/Ivory Silver color. I didn't notice many really dark ones-all that same blah non-color color.tsunami3-703x422.jpgYup, that's the color of most of my cars, too,

We bought our convertible used. I searched for it and found it on line down in Sarasota. I would not even consider black, silver or green. 30 some years ago I was sent a company car that was black with a black interior. This was in March. I put a thermometer in it and parked it outside. The temperature went up to 140. I wrote a polite memo to the office in NJ pointing out that light colors are much cooler here in Florida. I enclosed a photo of a white hearse and a white sheriff's cruiser. I never got another black car.
I really liked the turquoise that Chevy had in 1954, but I never owned one.
There is a minor fad for large black SUVs with black windows in this area. They look like a hearse hauling dead bodies.

My '08 Malibu...Bought it new and still have less than 34K miles on her....

Looks good, mine was new in 2012 and has almost 30,000 miles on it. Those are all miles driving back and forth from the coast...don’t put many miles on in Fresno. I bet I don’t put on more than 5 miles every day here...so that’s a lot of miles going to my daughter’s ...if you do the math which I didn’t, lol.

Actually, I hate to drive. Not so much in Fresno but the longer sleep inducing drives to my daughter’s. I wouldn’t mind a chauffeur but it’s not in my budget...I’d have to find someone to marry to do the driving for me, lol.

That shouldn't be difficult. :)

I have a white 2014 Hyundai Accent hatchback, free oil change for life. In Tucson's hot summers, white keeps it a lil' cooler.
