I must be missing something here. "He said most people suffered a “funny off feeling.”
"listed the following symptoms in order of commonality:"

  • Headaches
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Fever"

“It’s more like a bad cold"

"more likely to cause severe illness" So how does it cause severe illness? It sounds very mild to me.

The novel coronavirus delta variant has continued to spread around the world after being discovered in India.

Now, scientists worry that people might not recognize they’ve been infected with the variant because the symptoms are different than previous mutations of the coronavirus.

Different COVID-19 symptoms for delta variant

Tim Spector, a professor of genetic epidemiology at King’s College London, released a new YouTube video where he explained how the delta variant is different for people, according to CNBC.

  • “COVID is also acting differently now,” he said in his YouTube briefing. “It’s more like a bad cold in this younger population and people don’t realize that and that hasn’t come across in any of the government information.”
  • “Since the start of May, we have been looking at the top symptoms in the app users and they are not the same as they were, "he said. He said most people suffered a “funny off feeling.”
listed the following symptoms in order of commonality:

  • Headaches
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Fever
Interestingly, the common COVID-19 symptoms — like cough and loss of smell — were a little rarer, according to CNBC.

Is the delta variant on the rise in the U.S.?

Yes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday that the delta variant has become a “variant of concern” in the United States. That title is given to virus strains the CDC feels are more transmissible and more likely to cause severe illness — especially among the unvaccinated in this case.

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy told CNN that unvaccinated people should be worried over the spread of the delta variant.

  • “I’m worried about those who are unvaccinated,” he said, adding that the delta variant “is rapidly increasing here in the United States.”

Well, the rapidity of mutation, then those mutations mutate and this pandemic continues - beyond scary, isn't it? All global citizens have to do their part at eliminating this exponential spread.

Stay safe, every 1...

The Surgeon General says the unvaccinated should worry about the Delta Variant. In the same breath, we're told "The vaccine doesn't protect against variants (much like the flu vaccine). If the vaccine doesn't protect against variants, why should the unvaccinated worry?
Maybe a new vaccine should be developed for every variant. Forever.

All global citizens have to do what they think is best for them. Getting vaccinated isn't always the best for them, some have health issues that would put them in danger of death from the vaccine. Its a personal choice for each individual.

People who say "Everyone should do their part by getting vaccinated" have allowed themselves to be programmed by the media & have become human tape recorders, playing back whatever they heard.

Getting vaccinated is only a start in stopping the spread.

Programmed by the media? If I question what the media is hyping, I can do further research, until I satisfy myself to it's validity. Some of it has merit, some doesn't. One can't always blindly trust the source.

The choice is up to each and every individual. Make yours and you're good...

I'm not going to go ballistic over every variant. It would be ridiculous because the variants will never end as long there is one unvaccinated person left on earth who they want to convince to get vaccinated. The dialogue here is get vaccinated or else. There is no other acceptable option to those pushing vaccines on everyone.

If every person on earth was vaccinated, they still would have this virus threat if indeed this virus can cross over from infected bats. We still have bats, if they were/are the reason for it.

This reminds me of a philosophical question I will post.

Best thing to do is stay as healthy as possible because those with comorbidities had the most difficult time with the virus. Apparently overweight people and diabetics had the hardest time. For hospitalizations and fatalities.
