"The Family that Walks on All Fours"

I think that heading 'Do you believe in the Adam & Eve story
or in the evolution theory postulated by Darwin?'
is nothing but a tacky and misleading teaser. The condition has little to do with either.

I didn't watch it all as I've seen it some time ago on TV. It seems caused by genetic brain damage to me. It mentions the balance being affected although others with damage to that part of the brain don't walk on all fours. Well, perhaps there's a logical explanation to that too. The attitude of the normal members of
their family.

I caught the part where the father, a devout Moslem, accepts it as god's will. That very acceptance has probably kept them from trying to advance the crawling behaviour of their affected children as toddlers beyond that mode of moving. Over ensuing years the muscles and bone structure would have atrophied making it more and more difficult for them to walk upright without support. They live in a primitive region, probably devoid of access to modern medical advice and assistance so the years go by and the results of neglect are there to see.

I fail to see anything mysterious about this sad family, if anything, I find the documentary makers use of 'spinning' the de-volutionary DNA theory a cynical exercise in marketing a freak show as science.
