"The Golden Bachelor" Coming This Fall

I pick Joan to win.

And that's why I used to watch this franchise faithfully for years. It was so much fun to talk about and laugh at on the Primetimer forum.

Sure, half of it's scripted, and half the contestants are just there hoping to get modeling contracts, but some are sincerely looking for love and it's fun to guess which ones. I quit watching after Chris Harrison was fired for asking people to quit sending death threats to Matt James' pick. Seemed to me, the network was a little to quick to throw him under the bus.

But I might be back to watch the Golden Bachelor. Those poor women deserve their fifteen minutes of fame after all the painful plastic surgery they've been through!

I'll admit I watched the first episode, just to see who the "contestants" were. I saw them. I haven't watched it since. I will watch the last episode just to see who he chooses. Not interested in all the drama in between.

Still watching. He had the hometown dates on Thursday's episode. There's only 3 ladies left.' He gave one rose to Leslie (his fave) and then got too emotional to finish handing out the last rose, w/2 ladies remaining.

They will continue the rose ceremony next week, then proceed to The Women Tell All portion of the show.
I'll be there till the end....🌹

I'm watching, too. I really liked Faith's house and her horses and all three women's grandkids were adorable, but I think Leslie is his favorite, too. All the rest of the ladies have had TV exposure now and will probably be getting a few texts from interested local men. All the better! I don't think any of them really want to move away from their families.

Yes. Leslie is youngish and exciting. And, low maintenance, in a good way.
And, I'm sure he's looking forward to a private lap dance. ☺️

For those of us who are behind, would you mind not including spoilers. OR I could just avoid this thread until I'm caught up. 😄 I just started watching the hometown episode. 👀

As it ended up, I did not watch even one episode of this, sounds
though like it was somewhat worth it? good season? still going
then, or is it done?

I'm enjoying it, for the lack of a better word. :) I think he truly is a kind, caring, sweet man and his back story is so compelling. Something tells me I'm not going to agree with his choice. The season finale will air November 30th. There will not be an episode Thanksgiving night, so that means there are only two more episodes. @dobielvr

Now it seems from what my BFF said was written in T.V. Guide and from what I hear from other sources, that Gerry and the ladies have become America's sweethearts, or at least a glowing example of what The Bachelor and contestants should be. In the Women Tell All episode, it was clear that the ladies have garnered their own fans, so this begs the question...will there be a Golden Bachelorette?

Can understand how such shows are interesting and fascinating to many socially oriented women because it lets them cross connect to a lot of their own romantic and female inner feelings and experiences. And in doing so, that can generate deeper pleasant type emotions from within versus watching the network evening financial news.

For most men...a yawn then begone.
And more specifically as for mr dave... As Elmer Fudd might mumble...

I WON'T PAHWOOT MY BWAIN
