The Green Mile (II) Maybe?

I read in the newspaper yesterday that Hollywood is planning to make a Part II. Some of the original players will be in the movie, including Hanks and his sidekick, Brutus Howell. The original movie was one of my favorites, but I am a huge fan of Stephen King, whose book was turned into a screenplay for the original movie. I am not a fan of Tom Hanks, but not because of his acting, but because of personal reasons.

John Coffey, the enormous black prisoner will be in the movie by using flashbacks and I believe AI technology. Other original players will be replaced, if the movie becomes a real project for the screen. Let’s hope so.

I'm not so sure. I do love Stephen King and enjoyed this book a lot but I'm not so sure the magic can be recreated either. There's too much about prison in the media these days anyway. Shortly we will stop finding it "entertaining."

I think going forward, we may see more AI being used in the movies. I liked the original movie and probably would go see a part two. If it bombs, I wouldn’t be surprised, but I hope not.

Hopefully, the movie will come to fruition.

I didn't realize it was going to be a fantasy story when I went to the movies to see it.

I was enjoying everything up until Coffey did a magic trick and then I was out. I remember saying out loud, "Whaaat?? You gotta be kidding me. This is what this story is about? A guy with magical powers?"

It made no sense to the story up to that point. Lame.

An interesting side note. I encountered the actor, Morse, at a shopping mall. He was just walking around. Not sure if he was observing people for acting purposes or not. I simply asked him if he was in The Green Mile and he said yes. I walked away because people were starting to gather.
