I don't think I want to join at 65 dollars a month with this fee and that fee if you end early or put a hold on your membership. It all adds up. The 65 dollars adds up to almost 800 a year. I'll have to return those bathing suits I ordered from the shopping channel. But it's a disappointment. I guess I'll just walk for free.

Plus in the past, it seems like when I join, something happens to prevent me from going.

yes it costs a lot to buy a GYM membership here too.. roughly £1000 per year... which is why I bought my treadmill, so I can excercise at home for free especially when it's raining and I wouldn't feel like going out for exercise..

That works! Movement of any kind is the key to better living. You could put together a home gym at a fraction of the cost, and have exercise equipment that fits your specific needs.
My gym membership is $40/mo. and I workout 3 days a week. Many of the seniors in town go there, it's a big part of their social lives and a fine place to work on fitness. But, at home I have an elliptical, a treadmill and dip station, plus weights & tension bands that I use as well.
I have a big screen TV that I hook to my laptop and watch Netflix & Youtube while using the treadmill or elliptical.
