Just finished reading this book about the Getty family - really fascinating. It may have took a few generations but they finally figured out how to find peace. There's a saying that goes: If you're talking about dysfunctional family, you're talking about the Gettys - so true!

Well written book.

The cable channel,F/X has a 10 episode series premiering on March 25th at 10pm about the Getty family called'Trust'. It starts in 1973 when J Paul III was kidnapped. The show has an impressive cast,starting with Donald Sutherland as J Paul Getty,Hillary Swank as Gail Getty,Harris Dickinson plays J Paul and Brendan Fraser.I may watch this since I never saw the movie

I didn't realize how messed up that family was until J. Paul Getty III got kidnapped. The news accounts at the time made all of them sound like they were bonkers.
