When I would see in TVGuide that King Kong would be shown during a school day I played hooky by pretending I was sick. I also played hooky for Mr. Peabody & the Mermaid and One Touch of Venus but it all started with King Kong.

Saw the King several times as a child at the movies. Watched newer version not too long ago. Earlier movies included Mighty Joe Young also.
