It's about 4:00 a.m. and I just went outside to check on the newspapers arrival and happened to look up at the moon.

There is a perfect ring all the way around it........kinda neat, I can't recall ever seeing that before.

I just Googled 'halo around the moon' and it said, "the halo is caused when moonlight passes through thin clouds of ice crystals high in the earths atmosphere."

My mother used to say when there is a ring around the moon there will be rain. I've noticed the ring several times over the years but always forgot to notice if it rained just after seeing the "ring".
