Possum pie? Has anyone ever really seen those things?
Theyre like giant rats on steroids and can be vicious nasty.
I cant understand anyone wanting to make a pie out if possums let alone eat one.

Mississippi Mud Pie sounds better.

Nope, no opossum meat in this pie from Arkansas, just pie crust filled with cream cheese and chocolate pudding and then topped with whipped cream. To “play possum” means to pretend to be asleep or dead, this particular pie takes the name because the whipped cream hides what’s really beneath its billowy layer. (Hint: It’s chocolate pudding and not vanilla pudding.

Tennessee’s is wrong. I’ve never even heard of a Stack Cake. If you ask anyone here, they’ll argue whether it’s banana pudding or chess pie

Very interesting list RadishRose. I was surprised to see New Jersey, which is my state, had Italian cookies listed even though we do have a huge Italian population I thought it would have been something with blueberries or cranberries. I do like the cookies but find them to be a bit dry.

The site also says Snickerdoodle Ice Cream Sandwich is for CT. I've lived here all my life and never heard of it! CT is small, too, not like I'd miss it.

Awwwww! Glad someone has a clue. I suppose there’ really isn’t any real mud in Mississippi Mud Pie either.
Ok at times I’m embarrassingly slow.
Thanks RaddishRose:smug1:

Ruth, I think the only Italian food I don't like is the cookies... agree, too dry, also.

I've always thought Maine for blueberries and Massachusetts for cranberries, but they do grow all over the Northeast.

I looked at that list when it first came out and thought it was "meh". Maybe frozen yogurt is big everywhere else in CA, but not in Northern CA. Teens go those shops, mostly for bubble teas.

The big thing is artisanal ice cream, the higher the butterfat the better.

With the new commercial Cuisinart ice cream maker, only the lower-end restaurants offer off-the-shelf ice creams. Pretty much every restaurant we go to offers their own housemade ice creams and gelatos these days. Not a spoonful of frozen yogurt in sight, LOL.
