If you love Motown music and artists, I highly recommend this program, even if you have to do a free trial of Peacock. My son and I watched it today. It's not just Christmas music but medleys of Motown hits and tributes to some of its' artists. My BFF, a professional musician, really enjoyed it, particularly Jamie Foxx's rendition of Little Drummer Boy. Being a musician, she really "dissects" musical pieces and is not easily impressed. But Jamie, who many do not know is a multi talented entertainer, left an impression on her Not only is he a a comedian and actor, he's also a musician and singer.

The show features Smokey Robinson, Halle Bailey (also co-host), October London (Love this young man's music; he's like Marvin Gaye reincarnated!), Pentatonix, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, the young Broadway company from MJ The Musical and more. I imagine the show will stay on Peacock at least until the end of the holiday season and perhaps beyond. Some of the performances are in separate videos here:

Motown, IMO, is the best music every produced. Music with meaning that made people come together. Music to sing along with, dance to, to understand there was and still is no difference in the color of one's skin. We all appreciated the talent and the gift they gave to the world.

I was raised in a southern racist Baptist family and church, I am ashamed to admit that fact. The family never changed but I was renewed in God's love and the truth through this Music. I simply refused to attend church on my 13th birthday. I learned that the people, the Pastor were all telling lies. They only wanted to spread hatred and evil. I have never regretted that decision. I lost many so called friends and I think my parent's love. It was a price well paid then and still is today.

He was excellent as Ray Charles in the biopic. He wouldn't have been able to portray Ray that well had he not been a skilled musician and singer. (y)

We watched it. I was amazed by both Smokey Robinson's and Martha Reeves' voices at their ages. October London singing Marvin Gaye... just wonderful!

Sorry, but Halle Bailey singing the Diana Ross medley just proved Diana Ross had something special. That was "meh" for me.

Overall, a great show!

I had seen her in The Little Mermaid. I enjoyed her performance because I didn't see it as trying to imitate Diana Ross. The only thing that wasn't good about that show was Martha Reeve's outfit. I wondered WTH was she thinking?! šŸ˜– It looked like Christmas wrapping paper gone wrong. All the other women and girls looked so nice and elegant with their pretty dresses and gowns.
