My eldest son got hit by a drunk and drug-fueled driver 5 years ago. He hit him so hard that Jay's car rolled over twice.
He was hanging upside down and actually died at the scene.
The emergency services brought him back to life and flew him to John Hunter Hospital, where he underwent surgery for 8 hours.
I thank God every day for saving him. It took him about 2 months to be able to walk again.
Thankfully, he is fine now, but omg it was horrible, there wasn't one part of his body that wasn't bruised.
I still tear up remembering it all.
The driver who hit him died at the scene and couldn't be revived.
