The No Negativity Challenge

Could you for one day manage to not say anything negative? I read about this challenge between a husband and wife.

It would be rather difficult to not comment on things and events around you at times. Whatever you’re thinking, express it in a positive manner. Interesting idea.

Yes I could do it. That’s not to say that I don’t think negative thoughts. To say negative things, there would have to be at least one receptive listener and things happening in my life to judge as negative. Since most of my existence is without people I don’t have a lot to judge and I don’t harshly judge nature.
Lightbulb moment 💡

Having said all that, I think to habitually not say anything negative day after day would be a difficult challenge for me. Unfortunately I can easily find fault where none exists since negativity is merely ‘my own’ judgment or spin on reality.

The things I find positive fill my heart with so much joy that I sometimes sicken myself with how enthused I am. I dive right into things I’m passionate about. Sometimes I try sharing that but I starting to realize I don’t have to do that. In fact, sometimes doing that dilutes the joy so I’m marinating myself in life’s simple pleasures and healing my body and soul.

I would be able to control what I say but I might not be able to control what I think! :giggle:

Griping and moaning about every little thing is just another bad habit.

Yep, just a bad habit which we can eliminate if we put our minds to it.

It would be an easy challenge for me. I learned a long time ago that saying something negative (I assume you mean stuff like, They don't make you look fat, you are fat) doesn't result in a positive outcome.

Negative thoughts are a lot harder to avoid. For me, they're impossible to avoid. But I think that's ok.
