Did anyone watch the Oscars last night? I tuned in...for lack of anything else of interest, and didn't recognize hardly any of the movies or celebrities involved. I guess that shows my lack of interest anymore in movies. However, this morning I checked the "123 movies" web site, and it looks like most of the shows are available for viewing, so I may stream some of them while we're still having chilly weather.

Most of the folks nominated have never been nominated before. The show had a feeling of newness & celebration that I don't recall before. Just wish Jamie Lee Curtis referred to her parents by their actual names.

Fell asleep a few times, but woke up for the good moments. Love Jimmy Kimmel.

... and no RED carpet

A war movie, All Quiet On The Western Front .. got many awards, but it's not something that would interest me.

I'm going to give it a try one day this week.

The only "best picture" nominee I've seen so far is The Banshees of Inisherin, which was good but not great. I'll watch Top Gun when I can stream it on Netflix or Prime without paying extra fees. (It's on Prime for $5.00.)

I alread rented the Oscar favorite Everywhere All at Once or whatever it was called, but could not finish it. To me, the Oscars have always been the least reliable movie recommendation out there. No I didn't watch it last night, but saw headlines this morning.

B of I? One of the strangest movies I've ever seen! Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face, WOW!

Yup, we watched part of it and recorded it as well. Just the now, we're catching up what we missed... Glad to see Jamie Lee Curtis received one. Good for her! She's the same age as my hubby was...

It was odd to see Lady Gaga dressed, so 'plainly' when she performed at the Oscars. Watched some of it and then I would get up. I don't know many of the actors. Jimmy Kimmel was great.

Channel 'surfing'..caught it when JLC won...surprising? how
gracious to say WE won.

Don't know ANy of the new generation of actors/actresses
And...Don't really care to!

I just looked up Jamie Lee Curtis' speech. Damn she looks good. Wonder if she's had work. Still love her in one of my favorite movies Trading Places.

I just watched Maverick Top Gun....for free on 123 movies....NO commercials. Great show...better than the original, IMO. Try it.
I hate Tom Cruise, but I'm going to give that a try. I wonder if I can get good quality if I Screencast it from my phone to the Roku box.
