I just saw a documentary about the challenges of flying faster than five times the speed of sound and the main thing about getting to that speed is friction is no longer the issue pertaining to physics. What happens at hypersonic speed is "collision" between the plane and the atmosphere. So obviously the construction of he planes will be revolutionary and the scientists agreed it is coming sooner than people think.
